Family is very important to Ralnor, as it is to most elves in the known world. Clan Moondance have dwelt in the Emerlas for as far back as the chronicles of Alfheim can measure.
Dorneryll is the holdfast of Ralnor's family. It is his parent's dwelling, and the place where Ralnor and his sister, Tormalline, were born and raised. Other members of his family live relatively nearby, and the elves of the Emerlas often visit each other.

The images above come from the D&D module, O2 Blade of Vengeance. As noted previously, I intend to use that material, so I am integrating it ahead of time. The family tree is a bit modified, as the name "Falric" replaces the name "Erystelle," and the name "Ralnor" replaces "Corrunal." I also lie the names Ardil and Thiondil, and so I swapped them in the tree for Rossilear and Gorfisel. Tormalline is therefore my character's sister, and not his cousin.
After rereading the Gazetteer for Alfheim, I recalled how disappointing and inferior most of those products were as they were coming out. I do not think I will use much, if any, of that material as I go along. It felt like most of the creativity was pouring into AD&D at the time back then, including the newly introduced (HA!) Forgotten Realms campaign setting. As a result, the writing was on the wall for Basic/Expert/Companion/Master/Immortals. There was still some good stuff coming out, just not as much of it. I think that was actually a problem company wide, though.
